Faith on the Journey
How to Start Counseling - FAQ Video
Our counselors specialize in utilizing the Word of God as our anchor and guide for the support that we provide to our counselees. Our THGs are committed to supporting you on your healing journey. Through practices such as the engagement of scripture, intimate conversations, personal study, and various faith-based healing exercises, our THG’s will accompany you through the process of growing in your faith, healing your heart, and discovering a sense of community.
Our counseling sessions are conducted virtually, which allow us to serve individuals across the United States. If you reside outside of the U.S., please contact our office to see if we can provide services to you.
Our counselors have a breadth and depth of experience in matters such as pastoral counseling, trauma informed care, grief counseling, and other relevant skills to help you on your path ahead. All of our counselors have completed formal seminary education, and have degrees in Christian Counseling and/or are Chaplains that have completed several units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Our counseling services should not be a substitute for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or substance abuse treatment, and neither FOTJ nor our THGs present ourselves as a licensed provider of mental health services. We encourage you to review each of the counselor’s bios to learn more about their qualifications.
