Dr. Pamela Adams
Counselor
I come to Faith on the Journey with my Doctorate of Theology, over 14 years of experience in spiritual rehabilitation, and 7-units of Clinical Pastoral Education. I have extensive experience counseling in areas of church hurt, substance abuse, grief and loss, divorce, depression and anxiety, phobias, life transitions, PTSD, and sexual abuse. I always have a listening ear and I'm available to assist individuals and families on their spiritual and emotional journeys.
Christian Taylor
Counselor
I come to Faith on the Journey with 10 years of experience working as a Chaplain. I am a compassionate counselor driven by my own experiences with finding healing, love, acceptance and empowerment in Christ. I have expertise in various areas of grief and loss due to physical injury, chronic or terminal illness, gun violence, suicide, and natural causes. I also specializes in counseling for PTSD and sexual violence.
Dr. Jennifer Davis
Counselor
I come to Faith on the Journey with my Doctorate of Christian Counseling and 20 plus years of clinical experience across a variety of settings include outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric facilities, large non-profits, ministry positions, and private practice. I specialize in counseling in areas of divorce, infidelity, grief from miscarriages, abortions, illness or other types of trauma. I also have extensive experience counseling sexual and domestic violence survivors, and individuals struggling with PTSD.
Carolyn Evans

I come to Faith on the Journey with over 14 years experience working as a hospital chaplain. As a trauma survivor, I am passionate about supporting others on their healing journey. I can counsel you in areas of divorce, infidelity, PTSD, domestic and sexual violence, gun violence, and childhood trauma. As a widow, I also work to create supportive, healing environments for other widows.

Dr. Naomi Mitchell

I come to Faith on the Journey with my Doctorate of Ministry, Homiletics, 13 years of Pastoral, Family, and Marriage counseling. I have experience in individual, group, couples, and family therapy to all age groups and cultural demographics. Experienced dealing with a broad range of disorders and issues including, anger, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavioral issues, and personality disorders. Passionate and determined to serve the community by bringing social justice and helping others.

Our counselors specialize in utilizing the Word of God as our anchor and guide for the support that we provide to our counselees. Our THGs are committed to supporting you on your healing journey. Through practices such as the engagement of scripture, intimate conversations, personal study, and various faith-based healing exercises, our THG’s will accompany you through the process of growing in your faith, healing your heart, and discovering a sense of community.
Faith on the Journey is currently not in network with any insurance providers and will not file a claim for you. Some insurance companies will reimburse for a form of Christian or biblical counseling. We will provide you with a receipt of our services to submit to your insurance or employer upon request.
Our counselors have a breadth and depth of experience in matters such as pastoral counseling, trauma informed care, grief counseling, and other relevant skills to help you on your path ahead. All of our counselors have completed formal seminary education, and have degrees in Christian Counseling and/or are Chaplains that have completed several units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
Our counseling services should not be a substitute for psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, or substance abuse treatment, and neither FOTJ nor our THGs present ourselves as a licensed provider of mental health services. We encourage you to review each of the counselor’s bios to learn more about their qualifications.
Yes, we offer couples, family, and premarital counseling services. We work with couples on the brink of divorce, and we help families navigate major crises or communication breakdowns. We also walk alongside engaged couples who desire to build a strong foundation for marriage. Our approach is faith-centered and trauma-informed, providing tools to heal past wounds, strengthen communication, and cultivate healthier, God-honoring relationships. Whether you’re preparing for a lifetime together, fighting to save your marriage, or repairing strained family dynamics, our counselors are here to guide you toward restoration, resilience, and renewed connection.
